The Pirate Bay is being sold. It's going to be made "legal" and the tracker is going to be taken down during August. I was pissed off but now I realise how powerful this is going to make their argument. TPB is the most visited site in Europe. For the brief time it was shut down in 2005, the European internet traffic went down by a third overnight. By selling TPB to a company who will charge for its usage, we are going to see that drop as a permanent figure. I am only concerned that the tracker will be going as other sites, such as Mininova and Demonoid host torrents which rely on the TPB tracker. It's certainly going to be an interesting few months.

Right now though, I'm off to watch Angels & Demons, freshly pirated.
